Leila Awino Showcases Ugandan  and Talent in Malaysia.

Leila is a 21-year-old student at Asia Pacific University pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity. She is a humble, warm person with many talents, and with the chance to showcase her talent, she registered and participated in a tense Miss Africa Malaysia 2025. Leila showcased her intelligence and articulation in expressing her ideas, beauty with brains, true Ugandan art, culture, and music, which inspired her pageant journey. 

At the grand finale, Leila was the first runner-up and Miss Popular of Miss Africa Malaysia 2025 held at Premiera Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Behind her success, Leila was supported by the Ugandan community in Malaysia, the Uganda High Commission, and friends. In her words, a joyful Leila said, “My heart is full, I am excited by this journey and truly honoured to win Miss Popularity and 1st Runner Up. 

I could not do it alone without a supportive system that helped me a lot in preparation, motivation, voting, training and prayers. I thank Miss Africa Malaysia for the incredible opportunity.” Miss Africa is a platform for Africans and people of African descent in Malaysia. Lisa took this year’s ultimate crown from the United Republic of Tanzania.
