Union of Ugandans in Malaysia (UUM)
Dear Fellow Ugandans, Friends, and Partners,
On behalf of the Executive Committee and members of the Union of Ugandans in Malaysia, I am deeply honored to extend warm greetings to you all. It is a great privilege to serve as President of this remarkable organization that continues to embody the spirit of unity, resilience, and shared purpose among Ugandans living abroad.
The Union was established to create a strong support system for Ugandans in Malaysia — a community built on brotherhood, cooperation, and mutual respect. Over the years, we have grown into a vibrant network that not only brings our people together socially and culturally but also provides professional and academic opportunities to uplift every member.
As President, my vision is to strengthen the Union’s foundation by promoting inclusiveness, transparency, and collaboration. We aim to deepen our engagement with the Uganda High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, foster meaningful partnerships with Malaysian institutions, and create a platform that empowers Ugandans to thrive — whether as students, professionals, or entrepreneurs.
Our Union continues to play an essential role in promoting Uganda’s image abroad. From celebrating our national holidays to supporting our members in times of need, every activity reflects the heart of who we are: a family united by a common identity and a shared dream for a better tomorrow.
I encourage every Ugandan in Malaysia to stay connected, participate actively, and take pride in being part of this community. Together, we can make a lasting impact — both here in Malaysia and back home in Uganda.
Let us continue to celebrate our heritage, support one another, and move forward with hope, unity, and determination.
With warm regards and best wishes,
IMRAN SSEMUDDU
President, Union of Ugandans in Malaysia (UUM)
