Information on this site is general guidance
This is important. Pages covering visas and passes, scholarships, accommodation and study in Malaysia are provided as general community information only. They are not immigration advice, legal advice, or financial advice, and they do not create any professional relationship between you and us.
Immigration rules, scholarship terms, fees and deadlines change, sometimes without notice. We make a reasonable effort to keep pages accurate but cannot guarantee that they are current or complete. Always confirm your own position with the relevant official body — the Malaysian Immigration Department, EMGS, your institution, or the awarding organisation — before acting. Decisions you take on the basis of information on this site are your own.
Membership, events and purchases
Where you register for membership, book an event, buy a ticket or order merchandise through this site, any additional terms shown during that process apply alongside these terms. Prices and availability may change, and we may correct errors in pricing or descriptions before fulfilling an order.
Events may be rescheduled, relocated or cancelled. Where that happens we will make reasonable efforts to notify ticket holders using the contact details given at booking.
Accounts
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been used without your permission. We may suspend or close accounts that are used in breach of these terms.
Content you submit
If you send us photographs, comments or other material, you confirm you have the right to do so and give us permission to use it in connection with our community activities and communications. Do not submit material that infringes someone else’s rights, or that is unlawful, misleading or abusive. We may remove submitted content at our discretion.
Our content
Text, images, graphics and logos on this site belong to the Union of Ugandans in Malaysia or are used with permission. You may read, share and link to our pages. You may not republish substantial portions, or use our name or logo commercially, without our written permission.
Links to other sites
We link to external organisations for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices.
Liability
The site is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, or from interruptions to its availability. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
